Las Vegas: So, the Raiders just made a big move by firing their GM, Tom Telesco, right after letting go of coach Antonio Pierce. It’s like they’re hitting the reset button on their coaching staff.

People are saying Telesco got the boot to make way for the new head coach to bring in their own guy for the front office. Makes sense, right?

Now, was it fair to fire Telesco after just one year? Well, he didn’t exactly nail the quarterback situation for 2024. He signed Gardner Minshew for a decent chunk of change but seemed to think he could snag a top QB in the draft. Too bad six went before his pick!

But hey, he did draft tight end Brock Bowers, who had a killer rookie season, even with a shaky QB situation. So, it’s a mixed bag.

Some folks think that minority owner Tom Brady is calling the shots here, trying to find the best coach to turn things around, even if it costs a pretty penny to let Telesco go.

Now, the big question is how much cash owner Mark Davis is willing to throw at this coaching search. With all the recent buyouts, the Raiders are starting to look like the new Browns.

Because of that, they might steer clear of going after Bill Belichick, especially with that hefty buyout hanging over them. Unless Brady or Belichick want to cover that cost, it seems unlikely.

If not Belichick, maybe they’ll try to snag Mike Vrabel from the Patriots. Or perhaps they’re eyeing someone else entirely.

Whatever went down between Tuesday and Thursday, it’s clear something’s up. Whether it’s just plain chaos or a well-thought-out plan, we’ll have to wait and see.
