Thane: It’s a wild story coming out of Thane, Maharashtra. A man who has passed away is being charged for allegedly scamming nine investors out of a whopping Rs 82.5 lakh. Can you believe it?

The police got involved after the victims filed a complaint with the Economic Offences Wing. The guy, who died on December 4, 2024, was still under investigation when this all went down. Even though he’s no longer around, the police decided to go ahead and file a case.

So, what happened? Well, this deceased individual promised high returns on investments over five years, from August 2019 to December 2024. He managed to convince these folks to hand over their hard-earned cash, but when it came time to pay up, he vanished without a trace.

The police have filed a First Information Report (FIR) based on the complaints from the victims. They’re looking into how this guy managed to pull off such a big scam and if anyone else was involved. It’s pretty unusual to see a case like this, especially with a dead person at the center of it all.

The Thane Police are working hard to support the victims and figure out how this whole thing happened. They want to know if the deceased acted alone or if there were others in on the scam. It’s definitely a case that’s caught a lot of attention!
