Southampton: The city council has received a proposal for fine dining at The Bugle. This waterfront venue already has seven hotel rooms.

The Wonder House Group submitted the application, featuring chef Daniel Rogan. He trained under Gordon Ramsay.

In 2022, his father Simon’s Lake District restaurant earned a third Michelin star, a first for northern England.

The Bugle is a wedding venue next to the Dancing Man Brewery at Town Quay. If approved, dining will be available in the basement, ground, and first floors.

Guests can enjoy outdoor seating in the garden and on the balcony. A design statement says this restaurant is needed in a busy area.

The building will keep its character, with only minor internal changes. Daniel Rogan, trained by Ramsay, will run the new restaurant.

The Bugle already serves as a wedding venue with hotel rooms. The proposal includes dining areas on multiple floors and outside.

No major internal changes are planned. Daniel is Chef-Patron at Restaurant AO in Marchwood, known for its ten-course tasting menu.

His experience includes working with his father and other renowned chefs. Bringing his talent to The Bugle could create a successful dining experience.

The Italian-style building is next to the Dancing Man Brewery, at Bugle Street and Town Quay.

Opened in 1846, it was once home to the Royal Southern Yacht Club. It has been a wedding venue after standing empty for years.
