Northumberland: A father is heartbroken after losing his daughter in a tragic accident on the A1. Josie Crocker, just 26, was on a family campervan holiday when the crash happened.
Josie and her family had been enjoying their time in Dunbar, Scotland, exploring the beautiful beaches. They were heading home when a car coming from the opposite direction veered into their lane, leading to a devastating collision.
Steve Crocker, Josie’s dad, shared how other drivers rushed to help. One man even held Josie’s airway open until help arrived. Sadly, despite their efforts, she didn’t survive.
At the inquest, it was revealed that the other driver had fallen asleep at the wheel. Steve expressed his gratitude for everyone who tried to save Josie, saying their efforts were truly heroic.
Josie was a bright soul, full of life and creativity. She had a passion for learning and had earned degrees in Psychology and Education. Her family remembers her fondly, especially the times spent together in their campervan.
Steve, who was also injured in the crash, mentioned that the inquest helped them find some closure. It’s been tough adjusting to life without Josie, especially during the holidays.
He reflected on how much they miss her presence and the special bond she shared with her sister. The family is now focused on finding a new normal without their beloved Josie.
