Aberdeen: The father of two missing sisters is heartbroken. Miklos Huszti learned that bodies were found in the River Dee. His daughters, Eliza and Henrietta, both 32, went missing recently. The family is devastated by this tragic news.
Miklos, who is from Hungary, shared his pain. He said he never felt such sorrow. The sisters are triplets, and their third sister collapsed when she heard the news. Miklos spoke to a Hungarian news site about the moment he found out.
He received a call from his son, who told him they likely found Henrietta. She had a tattoo of an angel, which helped identify her. Miklos expressed his deep grief, saying he had not spoken to his daughters in 12 years.
A search began after the sisters’ landlord reported them missing. They had texted him saying they wouldn’t return to their flat. Police had paused the search for three weeks, but the bodies were discovered on January 31.
Authorities found no signs of foul play. Dive teams searched the river throughout January. After the first body was found, police boats continued searching. Coastguard units also joined the effort, leading to the discovery of the second sister’s body.
Miklos had hoped for a different outcome. He felt sick with worry after learning they were missing. He wished for a mix-up, but deep down, he feared the worst. He had a bad feeling about their safety weeks before the discovery.
Superintendent David Howieson expressed condolences to the Huszti family. He thanked everyone who helped with the investigation. The community is deeply affected by this tragedy.
To support the Huszti family, donations can be made through a fundraising effort.
