A father in Maryland faces murder charges after fatally shooting his son during a domestic dispute on Christmas Eve

Rosedale: It’s a heartbreaking story coming out of Maryland. A dad, Mark Jones, is facing serious charges after he allegedly shot his four-year-old son, Jacobi, during a fight. This all went down on Christmas Eve, which makes it even more tragic.
According to the police, the argument started in the bedroom, and little Jacobi asked his dad to leave. That’s when things took a terrible turn. Mark grabbed a gun from a backpack and shot his son in the head. Can you imagine? It’s just awful.
But it didn’t stop there. He also shot Jacobi’s mom, Promyss, and his one-year-old sister before trying to take his own life. When the police arrived, they found the family in a really bad state. Sadly, Jacobi didn’t make it, but his mom and sister survived.
Promyss shared that Jacobi was so excited to open his Christmas presents that morning. It’s just gut-wrenching to think he never got that chance. She’s been raising funds for his funeral, and it’s already brought in over $36,000. That shows how much love and support is out there for them.
This isn’t the first time there’s been trouble in their relationship. Mark had previous charges for domestic violence, and Promyss had even gotten a restraining order against him earlier this year. It’s a tough situation, and she’s now left with the pain of losing her son.
