Dagenham: A dad found his two sons dead in their bunk bed. This tragic event happened after their mother, Kara Alexander, allegedly murdered them.
Selvin Thomas was supposed to pick up his sons, Elijah, 2, and Marley, 5, for a weekend visit. When he arrived, he was worried because he hadn’t heard from Kara.
Kara told Selvin the boys were sleeping upstairs. He went to check on them and found them lying dead in their shared bed.
The court heard they might have been drowned or suffocated. Selvin was very upset and called emergency services, but it was too late.
Police arrived, but the boys were already dead for some time. Kara fled the house but was later arrested. No one else was in the house.
Kara denies harming her children and claims she didn’t intend to kill them. The family had lived together in Hackney before the split.
Selvin stayed in touch with his sons after the breakup. Kara has pleaded not guilty to two counts of murder, and the trial is ongoing.
