New England: The Patriots faced off against the Bills and, while they lost 24-21, there were some bright spots. They jumped to a quick 14-0 lead, which was pretty exciting. But then, the Bills came back strong, scoring 21 points in a row.

Even with the loss, the Patriots’ defense did a decent job against Josh Allen, holding him to just 154 yards and one touchdown. For a team struggling with a 3-12 record, some fans might see this as a “moral victory.” Tom E. Curran from NBC Sports Boston felt the team showed some fight, but he had concerns about the offensive playcalling.

Curran mentioned that while the team should feel frustrated about the loss, they also showed they have some identity and energy. He pointed out a key mistake when they tried a risky screen pass deep in their own territory, which ended up costing them a touchdown.

Former quarterback Brian Hoyer had a different take. He felt the blame for that play should fall on Maye, the rookie quarterback, rather than the offensive coordinator. Hoyer thought Maye should have recognized the danger and adjusted the play instead of throwing it.

Despite some hiccups, it was a better performance than the previous week against the Cardinals. Kayshon Boutte stood out with five catches for 95 yards and a touchdown. Now, with two games left, the Patriots are looking ahead to their next matchup against the Chargers.
