Shipston-on-Stour: So, there’s this guy, Ben Noden, who used to work as a roofer. His boss, Peter Round, thought he could trust him with some cryptocurrency trades. But things went south pretty quickly.

Just a year later, Peter found out that all the money he had saved up was gone. He called the police, and that’s when the trouble really started for Ben.

Last Monday, Ben showed up at the Redditch Justice Centre and admitted to stealing a whopping £198,387. The judge let him go on conditional bail, but it’s clear he’s in deep trouble.

Peter, who’s 68, said he had been building up this crypto account as a retirement fund. He thought Ben was the right guy to help him out because he was good with computers. But instead, Ben was just taking money out and gambling it away.

Can you believe it? Peter said Ben was moving around £12,000 a day! And all the while, he was still taking his regular pay of £400 a week. Now, Peter feels like he can’t retire as he had planned.

Peter worked hard for that money, roofing every day, and now he’s left with nothing. He said Ben basically ruined his future. It’s a real shame, especially since he trusted him to handle his investments.

Ben’s sentencing is set for February 13 at Worcester Crown Court. It’s going to be interesting to see what happens next.
