Narberth: The Croft twins are gearing up for an exciting auction next week at a popular hotel in Pembrokeshire. They’re putting a bespoke painting up for bids, and it’s all for a great cause.
On Saturday, January 18, Ioan and Garan Croft will host the auction at Hotel Plas Hyfryd. Locals can bid on a unique painting of the twins, created by Aneurin Meirion Jones.
All the money raised will go to support Mia Lloyd, a talented Paralympian who recently competed at the Youth Commonwealth Games in Trinidad & Tobago. It’s a fantastic way to help someone with big dreams.
Ioan shared that they wanted to auction the painting somewhere with a good crowd since it was a gift to them. They’re keen to raise funds for charity, especially for Mia, who faces extra training costs.
Being from West Wales, they understand the challenges athletes face, like transport and accommodation expenses. They want to give back, especially since they’ve had support from local businesses in their own boxing journeys.
Ioan and Garan both have impressive backgrounds, with Ioan winning gold and Garan taking bronze at the 2022 Commonwealth Games. They’re excited to help Mia on her path to future competitions.
They’ll also be sharing their experiences during the auction evening, which will feature a three-course meal, live music from The Dhogie Band, and a Q&A session. Tickets are £40 each or £400 for a table, so it’s a great night out for a good cause!
