Melbourne: So, get this! A guy tried to pull off an arson attack outside a fast food joint in Doncaster East, and it went hilariously wrong. He ended up setting himself on fire!
This all went down around 3 a.m. on Christmas morning. The dude poured some flammable liquid all over the front of the restaurant, but when he tried to light it up, his clothes caught fire instead.
CCTV caught the whole thing. You can see him running away, desperately trying to strip off his burning clothes. Talk about a Christmas morning disaster!
When the fire was put out, police found some burnt underwear and other clothing left behind. But the guy? He was nowhere to be found. Guess he really didn’t want to be caught in that embarrassing situation!
A police spokesperson joked that this guy might actually be wishing for new underwear from Santa. They’re still looking for him and his accomplice, who drove off in a white Toyota Tarago.
So, if you know anything about this wild incident, the police are asking for tips. It’s not every day you hear about someone setting themselves on fire while trying to commit a crime!
