16 People Sentenced by Magistrates in South Essex Courts
Magistrates in South Essex have sentenced 16 individuals for various offenses, including drink-driving and speeding.

Leatherhead: A drink-driver named Victoria Collard, 45, has been banned from driving for 20 months after being caught with a blood alcohol level well above the legal limit. She was stopped while driving her Audi on the A243 back in April.
Collard admitted her offense in court and was fined £120, along with additional costs. If she completes a drink-drive awareness course, her ban could be cut by 20 weeks.
In another case, a 23-year-old man from Leigh, Craig Burden, was banned for 15 months after being caught drink-driving on the A127. He was found with a breath alcohol level over the limit and also faced fines and costs.
Sean Cunningham, 35, from Chafford Hundred, received a 32-month ban for drink-driving in Tilbury, with a breath alcohol level significantly over the limit. He was given a community order requiring unpaid work.
Elvis Adu-Gyamfi, 57, was banned for six months after speeding on the Dartford-Thurrock Crossing. He admitted to driving over the speed limit and was fined accordingly.
Yuliia Poprozhuk, 37, from South Woodham Ferrers, faced a 33-month ban for drink-driving at over three times the legal limit. She also received a community order and fines.
Other cases included a man from Canvey Island fined for speeding, a teenager banned for driving without insurance, and several individuals fined for failing to identify a vehicle’s driver.
In a more serious case, Yaw Donkor, 50, from Southend, was jailed for threatening someone with a kitchen knife. His previous convictions played a role in the court’s decision.
Simon Johnston, 57, also from Southend, received a conditional discharge for drug possession after showing significant efforts to overcome his addiction.
