Monmouthshire: A country road is shut down for some emergency work. Trecastle Road, close to Pen-y-clawdd village, is getting some urgent attention due to a leaking fire hydrant.
Morrison Water Services is on the job, working for Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water. They’re fixing the leak, and it’s important work, so the road will be closed for a bit.
They expect to have everything wrapped up by January 17. In the meantime, there’s a diversion set up to help folks get around.
A spokesperson from Monmouthshire County Council mentioned that the closure is necessary for safety and repairs. They’re doing their best to get things back to normal as soon as possible.
