County Durham Arsonist Attacks Inmate, Leaving Him in Pool of Blood
A violent prison attack in County Durham has led to additional sentencing for the assailant
County Durham, Holme House Prison, Robert Wilkinson, Assault, Arson
Stockton: So, there was this crazy incident at Holme House Prison. A guy named Robert Wilkinson, who’s 31, just went off on another inmate. He was waiting in the cell when the other guy stepped out for his meds.
Turns out, Wilkinson was already serving an 11-year sentence for arson. He had set a firework through a woman’s letterbox, which caused a big fire in her house. Thankfully, she got out in time.
Now, after this latest attack, he’s got an extra nine months added to his sentence. The judge said it would start after he finishes his current term. It’s a wild situation, and it sounds like Wilkinson is really struggling, even ending up in a wheelchair due to self-harm.
It’s just a sad story all around, you know? Prison life can be brutal, and this incident shows just how quickly things can escalate.
