Bicester: A company called White Pennant Ltd wants to convert The Fox and Hounds pub into three homes. This pub is located on Station Road in Ardley.

This is the second time a pub has been proposed for housing in the area. Recently, The Bell Inn in Great Bourton also applied to become a home. That plan faced over 200 objections.

So far, no one has objected or supported the plan for The Fox and Hounds. The pub closed in January 2020 and has been for sale since May 2022. Previous attempts to turn it into a furniture store failed.

The planning statement mentions that the pub has become an eyesore. It is surrounded by hoarding and is falling apart. The proposal aims to provide much-needed housing and improve the area.

They believe this development will enhance the local character and not harm traffic or the environment.
