Burnley: If the councillors approve it, they will consult on raising the age range at two primary schools starting this September.

A notice will go out in February and March. This gives everyone a chance to share their thoughts on the changes.

The final decision will be made in July, with changes starting at the end of August.

Cllr Jayne Rear, the education boss, mentioned that both schools asked to start this process. They want to align with the Department for Education’s guidance.

If approved on February 6, she encourages everyone affected to participate in the consultation.

The council will consider all feedback before making a final decision. They are dedicated to supporting children in Lancashire and working closely with schools for the best outcomes.
