Manchester: So, it looks like Sue Cleaver, who’s been playing Eileen Grimshaw on Coronation Street, is calling it quits after 25 years. Can you believe it? She’s been a part of the show since 2000!
Eileen has had some wild storylines, especially with her sons, Jason and Todd, and that epic rivalry with Gail Platt. Those moments are definitely unforgettable.
Outside of the soap, Sue was on I’m A Celebrity in 2022 and even joined the Loose Women panel in 2024. She’s been busy!
According to reports, she’ll still be on the show until late Spring, but she’s ready to explore new projects. The good news is that Eileen won’t be killed off, so there’s always a chance for a comeback.
