Cork: The weather has been a real rollercoaster lately. After a wild few days, we’re finally getting a breather. The latest storm warnings are wrapping up, and it looks like we’ll have some calmer weather soon.

Crews have been working non-stop to get power back for those affected by Storm Eowyn. It’s been tough out there, especially with Storm Herminia adding to the chaos. January has been one for the books, that’s for sure.

Last night was pretty rough, with strong winds and heavy rain across Munster. Sherkin Island even saw gusts hitting 100 km/h! But don’t worry, tomorrow should bring some clearer skies, even if it’s still a bit chilly.

The forecast for today is a mixed bag. Expect some rain and blustery conditions, but there will be dry spells too, especially in the afternoon. Temperatures will be around 7 to 10 degrees, so not too bad.

Tonight, we’ll see more rain, with temperatures dropping to between 2 and 6 degrees. The winds will pick up again, so hold onto your hats!

Tomorrow, we can look forward to a mix of sun and scattered showers. It’ll be a bit cooler, with highs of 6 to 9 degrees. The winds will be strong, but they should ease up later in the day.

Looking ahead, it’ll be chilly at first, but things are set to warm up a bit by the weekend. Just keep an eye out for some rain moving in from the Atlantic. Stay safe out there!
