Thane: So, the police in Thane just busted a prostitution racket. They rescued four women and arrested a guy named Ranjit Vaishav, who’s 42. He was allegedly forcing these women into the trade. The lodge owner, Ashok Shetty, is still on the run.

The raid happened at a lodge in the Kasarvadavali area. The women, aged between 26 and 30, were found in two rooms. The police are taking this seriously and have charged both Vaishav and Shetty under some tough laws against trafficking and immoral activities.

This isn’t the first time something like this has happened in Thane. Just recently, three people were arrested in a different bust, where several women were rescued too. The Anti Human Trafficking Cell is really stepping up their game, raiding places and saving women from these awful situations. It’s a tough job, but someone’s got to do it.
