Cop Allegedly Leaked Police Files for Criminal Lover’s Benefit
A former constable faces charges for accessing police files linked to her criminal partner
Nikolina Trajkovska, Mitchell Longbottom, NSW Police, Australia
Sydney: A former police constable is in hot water for allegedly leaking sensitive police files. Nikolina Trajkovska, 30, is accused of accessing restricted data related to her boyfriend, Mitchell Longbottom, 32.
She reportedly shared a detailed 24-page police intelligence report with someone she knew while working for the NSW Police. This all happened over a couple of weeks, and it’s raising some serious eyebrows.
According to the police, she accessed Longbottom’s records four times in just over two weeks. It gets even messier because she also looked up information about another woman who had a protection order against Longbottom.
Longbottom has a criminal history, including resisting police and being armed with intent to commit a crime. He’s currently serving an intensive corrections order that wraps up at the end of the year.
Interestingly, Trajkovska is also listed as a protected person in an apprehended violence order against Longbottom. She didn’t have to show up in court recently; her lawyer handled it for her.
The case is set to continue in March, and it all started when police began investigating her actions last December. She had already resigned from the force before the investigation kicked off.
