St Neots: So, get this! A 58-year-old woman named Linda Lawrence was caught with over 9 kilograms of cocaine in her car. The police found it all packed up in a cardboard box while she was driving on the M6. Can you believe it?

The West Midlands Police had been keeping an eye on her since last October after getting a tip-off. When they finally stopped her, one officer couldn’t contain his excitement and shouted “Bingo!” as he discovered the stash in her Mitsubishi ASX.

They found nine vacuum-sealed packages of the stuff, and it’s estimated to be worth around £750,000. Lawrence just calmly said “ok” when the officer started reading her rights.

She’s from St Neots, and after admitting to possession with intent to supply, she got a six-year sentence at Stafford Crown Court. The police also found her phone, some cash, and even hotel papers at her place.

Detective Constable Liam O’Brien mentioned that they think she was being paid to transport drugs across the country. He emphasized how significant this bust was, saying it could have caused a lot of harm on the streets. The police are still investigating the wider drug network involved.
