Lymington, Contrast Therapy, Wellness, Sauna, Ice Bath
Founded by school friends Lewis Butchers and Tommy Webber, it launched in January. The hub is located at Ampress Park in Lymington.
They started this center because contrast therapy is becoming popular. This therapy alternates between ice baths and saunas.
Lewis mentioned that the hub offers invigorating ice baths and relaxing saunas. It’s a great place for physical and mental rejuvenation.
They also have a cozy front area where you can relax. You can browse and buy wellness drinks, teas, and coffees.
The benefits of contrast therapy are well-known. Participants take a cold plunge before enjoying the sauna.
The Revitalise Hub has two ice plunge pools and a sauna for eight people.
Lewis explained that one ice bath is set at eight degrees, and the other at three degrees. You should stay in the ice bath for at least 45 seconds. This helps release chemicals like serotonin and dopamine.
He got the idea after talking to a friend who visited Bali, where wellness is popular.
His friend asked where to find sauna and ice bath therapy locally. They discovered nothing like it was available nearby.
Initially, they considered Bournemouth but found Ampress Park was a perfect location.
The therapy begins with an ice bath, which cools the body and reduces inflammation.
Then, the sauna generates heat, boosting circulation. Together, these treatments enhance mental and physical well-being.
Lewis believes in empowering people to prioritize their well-being. They want to create a space where everyone feels better after visiting.
Future plans include working with breathwork specialists to expand their offerings.
Memberships start at £48 a month for four off-peak sessions. Unlimited use membership is available for £140. Individual sessions cost £20.
