King’s Lynn: A new Aldi supermarket is coming to town. The construction will take about 50 weeks. The start date isn’t set yet, but plans are in motion.

This new store will be built on land between the A149 and Greenyard Way. It’s near the Hardwick industrial estate. This site was once planned for a Lidl store, but those plans changed.

Aldi has taken over the land, which was part of a larger retail park idea. The construction will happen in three phases. The first phase will last 14 weeks and focus on earthworks.

Next, there will be an eight-week phase for building an access road. Finally, the main construction will take 28 weeks to complete the supermarket.

Work hours will be from 7:30 AM to 6 PM on weekdays and until 1 PM on Saturdays. They will monitor noise levels regularly to keep the area peaceful.

The management plan emphasizes good relations with nearby residents. They want to keep everyone informed and handle complaints quickly.

Traffic will be managed to ensure safety and smooth flow during construction. Aldi aims to minimize disruptions in the area.

Earlier this year, Aldi expressed interest in opening a second store in King’s Lynn. They are looking for suitable locations for development.
