Miami: So, there’s some serious drama going down with Conor McGregor. A woman has filed a civil lawsuit against him, claiming he sexually assaulted her during the NBA finals.

This all happened at the Kaseya Center after Game 4 on June 9, 2023. The lawsuit also names the Miami Heat and the venue’s management as defendants. The woman says McGregor assaulted her in a bathroom after being led there by an associate.

She’s a 49-year-old Wall Street VP and claims McGregor was way too drunk, thanks to the arena staff serving him more drinks. The lawsuit accuses him of battery and says the venue was negligent for not keeping things safe.

She’s looking for over $75,000 in damages, plus medical expenses. Initially, she reported the incident to the Miami police, but the state attorney’s office decided not to press criminal charges in October.

McGregor has denied everything, calling the claims a “shakedown.” His lawyer is pretty confident that this case will get tossed out too, saying the plaintiff has come up with a new story after two years.

Interestingly, earlier that night, McGregor had a bizarre moment where he punched the Miami Heat mascot during a skit, which led to the mascot needing medical attention. Despite that, he was still served alcohol.

The woman’s attorney mentioned that this lawsuit is her last shot at getting justice. She wants to raise awareness about sexual assault and hopes to encourage others to speak up about their experiences.

McGregor hasn’t fought since he broke his leg in 2021 and recently had to pay a hefty sum in a different case in Ireland. As of now, neither the Miami Heat nor the venue has commented on the lawsuit.
