Dartmouth: So, here’s the scoop. Starting January 20, the Higher Ferry is shutting down for about two weeks. It’s that time of year when they do some much-needed maintenance.

During this closure, they’ll be checking the hull and doing other inspections. It’s a big deal because it affects folks traveling to Torbay.

Christian McHale, the ferry manager, mentioned that they’ll be using a special cradle for the hull inspection. But, heads up! If the weather doesn’t cooperate, it could throw a wrench in their plans.

They’re really sorry for any hassle this might cause and appreciate everyone’s patience. It’s a good idea to plan ahead and keep an eye out for updates as the date gets closer.
