Wimbledon: The kids from the Wimbledon Common Nature Club had a blast! They met up for a fun session called “Life Under the Microscope.”

On Sunday, the event took place at the information center. The Quekett Microscopical Club hosted it, and it was a hit!

The children explored the common, gathering all sorts of natural goodies. They collected mosses, lichens, leaves, seeds, and even pine cones.

After their adventure, they returned to the center. Alan Wood and Joan Bingley had a bunch of nature slides and cool stuff for them to check out.

It was exciting to see the kids examining coriander seeds, salt, feathers, and amber up close. They were really into it!

Auriel Glanville, the club leader, shared how fascinating the morning was. She thanked Alan and Joan for their amazing insights into microscopy.

Looking ahead, the next club session is on “Bird Feeders.” It’s happening on Sunday, March 2, from 10 am to noon. Newcomers can register at 9:45 am.

This event is for kids aged 6-14 and is free, though donations are welcome. If you want to join, you can reach out to the club at 07837 910072 or email auriel.glanville@btinternet.com.
