Detroit: Wow, what a game! The Commanders are leading the Lions 31-21 at halftime, and it’s been a wild ride. That second quarter was something else, right? Four touchdowns from Washington and two from Detroit made it a record-setting quarter with 42 points combined. Can you believe that?
Jared Goff was trying to connect with Jameson Williams in the end zone, but Commanders’ Mike Sainristil swooped in for an interception. That really sealed the deal for the Commanders going into halftime. Goff had a rough half, with three turnovers, including a fumble and a pick-six by Quan Martin. Ouch!
On the flip side, Commanders’ Jayden Daniels is having a stellar game. He threw touchdowns to Terry McLaurin and Zach Ertz, plus Brian Robinson added a rushing score. Daniels is racking up the yards, throwing for 242 and running for 30. The Lions’ defense finally managed to stop them once, but it’s been tough for them all night.
As we head into the third quarter, the Commanders will have the ball again. If they keep this up, the Lions are going to be in a tight spot. Let’s see how it all unfolds!
