Indianapolis: The Colts are shaking things up a bit. They’ve decided to let go of Gus Bradley, their defensive coordinator. Coach Shane Steichen is sticking around, but this change is pretty significant.
Steichen expressed his gratitude for Bradley, saying he respects him a lot. He mentioned that they needed to head in a new direction, which is why they made this tough call. It’s clear they’re looking for a fresh start.
Bradley joined the Colts in 2022 and has been around the block, coaching the Jaguars and the Raiders before this. Unfortunately, the Colts’ defense struggled this season, ranking 29th overall. That’s not great.
Defensive tackle DeForest Buckner even pointed out that the defense felt disjointed at times, like they were just a bunch of individuals rather than a cohesive unit. That’s a tough pill to swallow.
Now, Bradley will be on the lookout for a new opportunity, whether it’s with another team or a different coaching staff. It’ll be interesting to see where he lands next.
