The Colts have added cornerback Ambry Thomas to their roster after he was waived by the 49ers following an injury.

Indianapolis: So, the Colts just picked up Ambry Thomas off waivers. Pretty cool move, right? The team announced it on Wednesday.
Before this, the 49ers had to cut him from injured reserve on Tuesday. He got hurt during training camp back in August when he fractured his right forearm. Since then, he hasn’t played a single game in 2024.
Thomas was a third-round pick in 2021 from Michigan. Over his first three seasons in the NFL, he’s started 11 games out of 42. Not too shabby, with two interceptions and 12 pass breakups to his name.
He’s been on the field for 855 defensive snaps, which is about 49 percent of the defensive plays last season. The Colts really needed some extra depth at cornerback, especially behind Samuel Womack and Jaylon Jones.
Plus, cornerback JuJu Brents is coming back from injured reserve, so he might be able to pitch in as well. Exciting times ahead for the Colts!
