Penzance, Somerset, Barry Sellick, Police Investigation, Traffic Incident

Penzance: So, there was this serious incident at the bus station on Monday. A coach got cordoned off after a tragic accident in Somerset. Police showed up, and they closed off the area for a while.

The whole thing started when a 68-year-old man named Barry Sellick lost his life in a crash in Taunton. It happened just before 1am on the A38 Wellington New Road. Such a sad situation.

Barry’s family is being kept in the loop and getting support from a family liaison officer. They haven’t officially identified him yet, but they’re working on it.

In the meantime, a man in his 60s was arrested in Cornwall on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. But after looking at CCTV and dashcam footage, he was let go without any charges.

People around the bus station noticed a big police presence. One witness mentioned that the bus was taped off early in the morning, and it was taken away later in the day on a police low loader.

Avon and Somerset Police confirmed that Barry Sellick was the man who sadly passed away. They’re still gathering information and have asked for anyone with footage to come forward.

It’s a tough time for Barry’s family, and the police are doing their best to support them while they prepare a file for the coroner.
