Los Angeles: So, Kawhi Leonard is still on the sidelines, huh? He was seen practicing with the team, but Coach Tyronn Lue says he’s not ready to hit the court just yet.
Leonard joined a five-on-five practice recently, but Lue mentioned there are still some hurdles to clear before he can play in a game. They’re taking it slow, which makes sense given his knee issues.
Right now, there’s no set date for when he’ll be back. Lue said they need to keep stacking those practice days and see how Leonard feels after each one.
Unfortunately, he won’t be playing against the Warriors this Friday, and he’s also going to miss the upcoming three-game trip starting in New Orleans. Bummer, right?
While the team is away, Leonard will be practicing with the San Diego Clippers, their G League squad. This should give him a chance to get more game-like reps in.
Lue emphasized the importance of making sure Leonard is fully ready to avoid any setbacks. They’re keeping a close eye on his progress, and so far, things are looking good.
