Claims Jimmy Mizen’s Killer is Drill Rapper Named TEN
Jimmy Mizen’s family reacts to claims that his killer is now a drill rapper
Jimmy Mizen, Jake Fahri, Drill Rapper, London, UK
London: Jimmy Mizen was just 16 when he tragically lost his life at a bakery in 2008. Jake Fahri, then 19, threw a glass dish that fatally injured him.
Fahri was sentenced to life but got out on license in June 2023 after serving 14 years. Now, he’s reportedly a drill rapper called TEN, and his music is raising eyebrows.
Some of his lyrics are pretty graphic, talking about violence and death. It’s shocking to think someone who committed such a crime is now making music like this.
Jimmy’s mom, Margaret, expressed her disbelief, saying it’s hard to understand how he can perform such music. She called him a coward for hiding his face while rapping.
Barry, Jimmy’s dad, pointed out that despite completing programs in prison, it seems like nothing has changed in Fahri’s behavior. He’s questioning the effectiveness of the prison system.
The Mizen family has been vocal about their experience, and Barry wonders if the parole board made the right call in letting Fahri out.
The Ministry of Justice is now looking into Fahri’s music after these concerns were raised. They take any content that glorifies violence very seriously.
Interestingly, the BBC has stated that the songs played on their station didn’t include the violent references. They have strict guidelines to prevent such content from being aired.
The incident that led to Jimmy’s death was a heated argument at the bakery. Just a day after celebrating his birthday, he was attacked by Fahri over a minor dispute.
It escalated quickly, with Fahri throwing a glass dish that ultimately took Jimmy’s life. Since then, his parents have dedicated themselves to making a difference through The Mizen Foundation.
They’ve been recognized for their efforts, receiving MBEs for their work in the community. It’s a heartbreaking story that continues to resonate.
