Newport: A care home in Newport has just changed hands. Capel Grange Care Home, which has 72 bedrooms, was sold to Amaya Care Homes.

This place was built back in 2009 and was previously owned by Linc Cymru Housing Association. They decided to sell it after merging with Pobl Group earlier this year.

The sale is part of Linc’s plan to streamline their care services, which also includes other facilities in Cardiff.

Capel Grange is pretty nice, with all bedrooms having wet room facilities. Amaya Care Homes is now the proud new owner.

Rajan Gupta, the CEO of Amaya, shared that this acquisition is a big step for their growth in South Wales. He emphasized their commitment to providing high-quality, relationship-centered care.

Rajan is excited to welcome the skilled team from Capel Grange into their family. He believes they can continue to offer exceptional care and support to residents and their families.

This new acquisition makes Capel Grange Amaya’s second care home in South Wales, following their purchase of Bryn Celyn Care Home in Maesteg back in 2021.

Gary Hortop, from Linc, expressed pride in the role Capel Grange has played in the Newport community. He’s confident that Amaya will keep up the good work and help the home thrive.

Rob Kinsman, from Christie & Co, who facilitated the sale, said it was a privilege to work with Amaya. He believes they will take Capel Grange to new heights in service excellence.
