King’s Lynn: There’s a peace and justice forum happening at a local church next weekend, and it sounds pretty interesting! A bunch of important speakers are lined up to share their thoughts.
Churches Together in Lynn is putting this event together to help tackle poverty in the area. They’re really hoping to get everyone working together to make a difference.
Last year’s forum was a hit, with about 50 folks from the church and community coming together to discuss poverty issues. It was a great way to connect and share ideas.
Rev Kyla Sorensen, who’s involved with Churches Together, is excited about it. The forum will be held at the Gaywood Church Rooms from 10am to 3pm.
Some of the speakers include Vicki Price, who works with Imagine Norfolk Together, Cllr Paul Bland, the Mayor, and Rt Revd Rob Wickham from the Church Urban Fund.
This free event will have talks, displays, and a chance to network with local charities. Plus, they’ll provide lunch and refreshments, which is always a bonus!
Attendees will even get a chance to ask questions directly to Bishop Rob. Rev Kyla mentioned that it’s a fantastic way to kick off the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity 2025.
She added that they’re really hoping this forum will help everyone come together to support the local community. If you’re interested, you can grab free tickets on Eventbrite.
