Oswestry: Dimensions Care wants to change a property on Cabin Lane. The house has parking for five cars and a nice garden area. It’s a good spot for a children’s home.

Wayne Price, the managing director, shared that three vulnerable kids will live there. They are aged between four and 17. There will also be three staff members living in the house and one more for 24-hour support.

This plan follows Ofsted’s guidelines closely. The kids will attend local schools and the house will feel like a family home. Mr. Price believes this setup will help them grow into independent and ambitious individuals.

He mentioned that the change aligns with the council’s goals for community growth. It also fits the National Planning Policy Framework, which supports sustainable development.

Mr. Price noted that any extra noise would be minimal. It would mainly come from staff and visitors using the parking area. He believes the home will not disturb neighbors.

Anyone interested in sharing their thoughts on this proposal can do so through Shropshire Council’s planning portal by February 19.
