Cheltenham: Two young men stole £20,000 worth of jewellery from a store. They were part of a crime spree across Gloucestershire and Wiltshire.
Dolari Amet, 19, and Samet Zsiga, 20, were caught in a getaway car. Police used a stinger device to stop them after the theft.
On January 23, they took the jewellery from a local shop. A week later, they hit another store in Devizes, stealing over £8,000 in gold.
Police tracked them down within three hours. They were heading back to Bristol when officers boxed them in on the A350.
Both men now face serious charges for multiple robberies. They appeared in court and pleaded guilty to all charges.
Police praised the quick response to the robberies. They emphasized the importance of tackling shoplifting, especially high-value thefts.
