Wales Air Ambulance is a charity that provides emergency air cover for serious illnesses and injuries. They rely on donations to keep their helicopters flying.
During the 2024 Christmas season, Charlies entertained customers with singing farm animals, a cheerful snowman, and a talking reindeer. They also donated £2 from every real Christmas tree sold to the fundraising total.
Phae Jones, director of income generation for Wales Air Ambulance, expressed gratitude to Charlies Stores, their staff, and customers for their ongoing support. She said their contributions make a significant difference.
The Coed-y-Dinas store in Welshpool also raised money for the Lingen Davies Cancer Fund. They hosted donkey rides, reindeer visits, and wreath-making workshops.
Staff showed support for various causes by wearing pink for Breast Cancer Awareness and festive jumpers for Save the Children.
Rebecca Lloyd, managing director of Charlies Stores, praised the generosity of their customers and staff. She emphasized the importance of creating meaningful festive experiences and the fulfillment that comes from supporting valuable charities.
