Los Angeles: So, guess what? The Chargers are bringing in Ezekiel Elliott, the former Cowboys running back, to join their practice squad. This news just dropped, and it’s pretty exciting!
Elliott had a decent run with the Cowboys this season, playing 15 games and racking up 226 rushing yards and three touchdowns. But things weren’t going his way, and he asked to be released. With the Cowboys not in the playoff race and Rico Dowdle stepping up, they granted his request.
Now, the Chargers are looking to sign him, pending a physical. They’re gearing up for their wild-card playoff game against the Texans this Saturday. If all goes well, Elliott could be a great backup option, especially since Gus Edwards has been out with an ankle injury.
Plus, J.K. Dobbins is just coming back from a knee injury, so having Elliott around could really help the team. It’s all about making sure they have enough firepower in the backfield!
