They didn’t stop at just the toilets either. The thieves also grabbed some chemical fuels and piping. The CCTV footage shows them loading everything onto two vehicles while a third one kept watch outside. It looked pretty organized, right?
Amy Philpot, the general manager at AndyLoos, said these guys were no amateurs. They knew exactly what they were after. She mentioned that while losing a toilet here and there is part of the business, having a yard broken into is pretty rare.
Richard Philpot, the owner, was shocked too. He said he’s never heard of anyone breaking in just to steal toilets. They even brought their own trolley to make the job easier. AndyLoos has been around for about 30 years, supplying portable loos for big events like the Cheltenham Gold Cup and Glastonbury Festival.
Amy added that it’s a huge hassle for them. Sure, they have insurance, but it’s still a big hit. They’ve worked hard to build their fleet, and it’s frustrating to see someone just take it away.
Thames Valley Police are on the case, asking anyone with info to reach out. They reported the burglary happened overnight between January 8 and 9. If you saw anything, they want to hear from you!
