Doncaster: So, there’s this guy named John Eric Wells, right? He’s been called the Casanova conman. This dude has a knack for spinning wild stories, especially about winning the lottery. He’s been on the run after scamming three older women out of a whopping £400,000. Can you believe that?

Wells first made headlines back in 1999 when he lied to his wife about hitting the jackpot. He thought it would save his crumbling marriage. Under the name Howard Walmsley, he tricked banks and even a car dealership into believing his tall tales. It was all about getting cash, and he ended up pocketing at least £37,000 before he was caught and sentenced to three years in prison.

Fast forward nearly 20 years, and this old trickster is back at it. He’s now wanted for allegedly stealing life savings from three senior ladies. One of his victims, Hazel Wilkins, shared her heartbreak, saying he ruined her life. She worked hard for nearly 50 years, and in just three years, he took it all away. That’s gotta sting.

Rumor has it, Wells is hiding out somewhere in Asia. South Yorkshire Police are on the lookout for him and have even released a recent photo. They’re asking anyone who might have seen him to come forward. It’s wild to think he’s still out there, living off the money he scammed from vulnerable people.
