London: Carrie Johnson recently spent almost a week in the hospital due to pneumonia and flu. She shared her experience on Instagram, saying she struggled to breathe because of a chest infection.
In her post, she mentioned that she’s still not fully recovered and it might take a few more weeks before she feels like herself again. She expressed her gratitude for the NHS staff, calling them the best people on earth.
She posted a photo from her hospital bed, showing her son Wilf’s favorite dinosaur toy and her daughter Romy’s princess key ring, which they gave her for comfort.
Unexpectedly, she found herself in the hospital at the start of 2025 after dealing with a nasty chest infection for nearly 18 days over Christmas. It got worse, leading to her diagnosis of flu and pneumonia.
During her stay, she received incredible care, and one nurse even sang to her when she was feeling low. Carrie emphasized the importance of getting the flu jab, admitting she forgot to get hers this year, which she regretted.
