Peacehaven: So, there was this wild police chase that kicked off in Peacehaven. It all started when officers spotted a yellow Ford Fiesta that they suspected was stolen.
The driver wasn’t having any of it and took off, speeding the wrong way through Newhaven’s one-way system. Talk about reckless! The police were right on his tail, though.
Eventually, they managed to stop the car in Litlington, which is a little village between Seaford and Alfriston. They used a spike strip to deflate the tires, and that did the trick.
Three guys jumped out of the car and tried to make a run for it. One was caught right by the car, another near the A27, and the last one was tracked down by a police dog named Sonny. How cool is that?
After the chase, the police found out that two of the guys, 19-year-old Reece Beresford and 18-year-old Finlay Snow, were charged with aggravated vehicle taking. They were in a vehicle that caused some damage, which isn’t good.
Oh, and Snow also got hit with a charge for having a knife. Both of them had their day in court and are now in custody. Beresford is set to appear again in February, while Snow has another court date later this month.
There was also a 19-year-old who got arrested for dangerous driving and a bunch of other charges. He’s been bailed for now, but it sounds like the investigation is still ongoing.
