Pittsburgh: The Steelers are in a rough patch, losing their third straight game. Frustration is definitely in the air.
Cameron Heyward, a veteran on the team, didn’t hold back. He said, “The last three weeks we played like shit.” He’s owning up to it and believes every player needs to step up.
Heyward pointed out that they can’t waste chances. Whether it’s turnovers or not scoring, it all adds up. He’s baffled by the lack of execution. They talk about it in meetings, but it’s got to translate to the field.
He also mentioned that communication is key. If one guy messes up, it can ruin everything. “If there’s somebody free — 10 guys do their job and one guy doesn’t, we’re screwed,” he said.
Heyward made it clear that players shouldn’t complain about the tight schedule. He didn’t see the Chiefs whining about it, so why should they?
While the defense has its struggles, the offense hasn’t been great either, scoring just 13, 17, and 10 points in the last three games. The Steelers are hoping to turn things around against the Bengals in their next matchup.
