March: So, the George Campbell Leisure Centre in Cambridgeshire has some bad news. Their swimming pool is going to be closed for a bit longer than they thought. It originally shut down on December 16 for some essential maintenance work.

They were planning to reopen it just 11 days later, but surprise! They found out more repairs were needed. Now, the pool won’t be back in action until the end of January.

In a recent update, the centre’s spokesperson mentioned that there’s been more unexpected work to tackle. They’re aiming to have the pool ready around February 17.

They really apologized for the hassle in a statement released on January 8. They said, “Unfortunately, the repair to the swimming pool has been delayed due to more unforeseen work required following feedback from the contractors in late December.”

They understand this is a pain for everyone and are working hard with Fenland District Council to sort things out quickly. They also reminded folks that other pools are still open at Manor Leisure Centre in Whittlesey and Hudson Leisure Centre in Wisbech.

They wrapped up by thanking everyone for their patience during this tough time. It’s always a bummer when plans change, but they’re doing their best to get things back on track!
