Peterborough: So, there’s some buzz about the Cambridgeshire cycling centre possibly turning into a restaurant and takeaway. A planning application has been sent to the city council by ZT Logistics Ltd. They want to change the cycling centre at Orton Meadows into a spot where you can grab a bite to eat.

This company already runs a bar called the Blind Tiger in Cowgate, Peterborough. The planning statement mentions they’re also thinking about adding fun activities like crazy golf or an escape room to the mix.

They say this new place could create around 15 jobs, with six of those being full-time. The application highlights that this development would work well with the nearby Orton Meadows Golf Course and help promote recreation in the Ferry Meadows Country Park.

Right now, part of the building is empty since it used to be a cycling centre. The folks behind the application believe this change will enhance local facilities and boost Peterborough’s image.

If you’re curious, you can check out the full planning application on the Peterborough City Council portal using reference 24/01648/FUL.
