Manchester: So, there was this burglary suspect who thought he could lay low by hiding under a bed. But guess what? The police found him! They even released video footage of the whole thing.

This all went down on Wednesday night after a bunch of burglaries were reported in the Rusholme and Moss Side areas. The Greater Manchester Police were on it, patrolling the hotspots.

They stormed a house on Boscombe Street, and when they got inside, they had a hunch something was off. They lifted the mattress and, surprise! There he was, trying to hide in the bed’s storage compartment.

Once they found him, they quickly held him down and slapped on the handcuffs. It was all caught on camera, and you can see how it all unfolded.

Before this, police had spotted a guy acting suspiciously on a bike. They followed him to the house and called for backup. Smart move, right?

In the end, a 41-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of burglary, and he was still in custody for questioning the next day. Another guy, 36, was also found in the house and arrested.

Detective Inspector Natalie McDonald praised the proactive policing, saying it’s a great example of how being in the right place at the right time can lead to arrests. She encouraged anyone with info about local crime to reach out.
