The Buccaneers have released defensive lineman Earnest Brown and linebacker Antonio Grier, adjusting their roster ahead of the upcoming game.

With these cuts, the team is down to 50 players on their roster. They had already opened a spot by placing safety Christian Izien on injured reserve earlier this week.
This means they might be looking to bring back safety Jordan Whitehead and wide receiver Kameron Johnson from injured reserve for Sunday’s matchup. Plus, they need to make room for punter Jack Browning, who’s out of options on the practice squad.
Earnest Brown joined the Bucs back in May after a stint with the 49ers. He had played two seasons with the Rams before that, racking up 14 tackles in 12 games. This season, he only saw action in three games for Tampa.
As for Grier, he came in as an undrafted rookie and has bounced between the practice squad and active roster. He’s played in seven games, mostly on special teams, with just a couple of defensive snaps to his name.
