Caerphilly: The Bryn Meadows Caerphilly 10k and 2k run is making a comeback this spring. Mark your calendars for May 11, because it’s going to be a blast!

This event is one of the prettiest running experiences in South Wales. The 10k route kicks off and wraps up on Crescent Road, taking you through the charming town of Caerphilly, with the stunning Caerphilly Castle in view.

The course is mostly flat, with just a few gentle hills, making it perfect for everyone, whether you’re a seasoned runner or just starting out.

As you run, you’ll pass by some cool landmarks, like the Tommy Cooper statue and the giant cheese sculpture. It’s a fun way to see the sights while getting your exercise in!

Last year, the amazing Dewi Griffiths set a new record, finishing the 10k in just 29 minutes and 12 seconds. Can you believe that?

The 2024 race was a huge success, attracting runners from all over the UK and beyond. It was the biggest turnout yet!

Councillor Chris Morgan, who’s in charge of leisure at Caerphilly County Borough Council, shared how much these runs mean to the community. He said they really highlight the beauty of Caerphilly and get more folks involved in staying active.

He’s excited to welcome runners of all skill levels in 2025 for what promises to be another fantastic event.

Organizers will keep everyone updated on race packs, road closures, and other important info as the date gets closer. So, don’t wait too long—secure your spot and get ready for an awesome day!
