New Orleans: A tragic incident unfolded on New Year’s Day when a truck attack on Bourbon Street left many injured and some dead. Among the injured was Ryan Quigley, a former Princeton football player.

Ryan was there with his friend Martin “Tiger” Bech, who sadly lost his life in the attack. They were celebrating the new year when a man drove a pickup truck into the crowd, causing chaos and heartbreak.

Bech was one of the 14 victims killed that day. Ryan, on the other hand, survived but was left with injuries that required hospital treatment. He’s been recovering since then, and a GoFundMe campaign has been set up to help him out.

It turns out that the city had removed safety barriers that could have prevented such an attack. Now, several victims are suing the city for not doing enough to protect people during the celebrations.

Ryan and Tiger had a strong bond, not just from their time at Princeton but also from working together in finance on Wall Street. They were both well-known in their circles, and Tiger’s younger brother, Jack, is also a talented football player.

Since the attack, Ryan hasn’t shared much about his feelings, but he’s been leaning on family and friends for support. His GoFundMe page has raised nearly $80,000, showing how much people care.

On social media, Ryan has been honoring Tiger’s memory. He shared a clip of Tiger scoring a touchdown and a photo with UFC fighter Dustin Poirier, who encouraged him to keep fighting through his recovery.

Ryan attended Tiger’s funeral in a wheelchair, a tough moment for him. The mayor of New Orleans even honored him as an honorary Cajun, recognizing his connection to the community.

In a heartfelt tribute, Jack Bech shared how Tiger saved a girl during the attack, calling him a true hero. Ryan echoed those sentiments, saying Tiger will always be his brother for life.
