Fuerteventura: Leslie Green was on holiday with his wife to celebrate his 70th birthday. They stayed at the Occidental Jandia Playa resort.

During the second week, Leslie got sick. He experienced severe symptoms and was taken to the hospital. Sadly, he developed complications like sepsis and kidney failure.

Leslie passed away about four weeks later. His wife, Julie, also got salmonella and spent a week in the hospital. She is now seeking legal help.

Julie noticed that some food was lukewarm and her chicken was undercooked. She also mentioned that staff didn’t seem to wash their hands properly.

Leslie fell ill on October 9 and died on November 4. He was placed in an induced coma but continued to get worse. His family was by his side when life support was turned off.

Julie described Leslie as a kind man who loved his family and enjoyed fishing and sports. They had many retirement plans that now feel lost.

Their daughter Becci flew out to support them, while their other daughter Sarah couldn’t travel due to health issues. Julie is looking for answers about what happened.

An expert lawyer stated that salmonella can lead to serious health issues, as seen in Leslie’s case. This situation raises concerns about food safety at the resort.
